The main Cranberry Trail stretches roughly 2.5 km one-way. It winds through mixed forest, marshland and cranberry bogs and ends with a rewarding view over Lake Nipissing‘s Callander Bay. The Lake Temiskaming Tour is a unique cross-border tourism initiative between Ontario and Quebec.  Starting and ending in North Bay, visitors can travel in either direction, exploring Marten River, Temagami, Temiskaming Shores, New Liskeard, Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Ville-Marie, Temiscaming and Mattawa.

This trip will provide rich history and culture of the area as well as countless views of lakes, marshes and old-growth forests, with some white pines as old as 300 years.  The tour takes one to two days depending on your stops, and offers a delightful mix of culinary experiences, natural attractions, cultural exhibits, motels and camping opportunities.  This trip will also provide the thrill of the open road, and a slight detour into the jewel that is Algonquin Park (optional).
